Sucktastic motels

isaacsapphireThe bad news is that I couldn't watch tonight's episode of Supernatural on account of being on a stupid overnight field trip. Said field trip mostly involves going to a lot of very boring places that with shinny statues, smell of incense, have very thick carpet, and make you take your shoes off. Blerg. Religion is interesting, but at this point it's interesting as the opiate of the masses rather than for any real philosophical reasons.
And I'm stuck sharing a room with three other students, which just about literally gives me flashbacks to some very unpleasant parts of my teen years. I just about flipped and chewed out my only friend who's along on this trip just because I'm so stressed about it. At least now that I've recognized the problem I can address it and I'm dealing better now, although this is probably going to end up being a topic of discussion with my shrink.
The good news is that we're staying in a sucktastic motel that's damn near worthy of the show. The sign this place has is literally more garish than most strip clubs' signs. And the room is tiny and ugly, all the charm of a hospital with none of the cleanliness. Yeah, so this is all going down as research. And one of my temporary roommates randomly volunteered a story about being a camp counselor that is also so going into my camp fic.
The other good news is that apparently the person who's putting the episodes up for download is going to be able to get tonight's up pretty fast, so I shouldn't be having to plug my ears and hum to avoid spoilers for too long.
PS: Does anyone know what's up with the SPN wiki? It wasn't there when I tried to look something up tonight.
PPS: I just realized that I put down staying in a crummy motel as a good thing. My writer-self is running things at the moment, in case you couldn't tell.
