Supernatural fanfic - And A Telephone Booth
Title: And A Telephone Booth
Author: IsaacSapphire
Fandom(s): Supernatural (American TV show)
Wordcount: 200 on the dot
Rating: G
Pairing(s): none
Warnings/categories: none, gen, double drabble
Reviews: Constructive criticism and praise are always welcome. Heck, flames are ok too.
Synopsis: The convenience store at the beginning of 4.01 is just too freaking convenient.
Timeline: Right before the events of 4.01
Spoiler warning: For 4.01 and the whole fourth season.
A/N: Written for the http://community.livejournal.com/spnwriterlounge 5/30/09 picture prompts from the picture of a telephone booth. This is my first time writing Castiel, so please tell me what you think.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Dean Winchester, Castiel, or the Supernatural universe. They belong to the CW, not me. I just write free advertisements for them. I make no money from this fanfiction. Please do not redistribute in any form without permission, even with the proper byline.
Leaving food and drink for their charges had been part of an angel’s responsibility since before Castiel had been sent to earth. Humans still remembered the care Elisha’s watcher had taken with him. Castiel carefully finished stocking the “abandon” convenience store; his research on his new charge suggested that Dean would correctly interpret it as being intended for his taking. The entire building was given conveniences his charge would appreciate after his imprisonment; electricity and running water. It would be pleasantly cool after the heat of the sun. The atmosphere was intended to provide a bridge back into life for Dean, but not influence him. The food and drink he had left were in accordance with Dean’s usual feeding habits. News and music seemed important as well, so Castiel added a radio and TV, then a newspaper; Dean seemed to read them a lot. Castiel added a magazine put out by a favorite entertainment group of his charge’s, as if adding a flower to a breakfast-in-bed tray.
Castiel left transportation in front of the building; his new charge should understand that it was for him. As a last though, he added a telephone booth. Dean might want to call someone.
